Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 23, 2026
SaySpoke is a social app where people post Moments, share Finds, and back content with specific Backing Tags instead of empty likes.
This Privacy Policy explains what information SaySpoke collects, how we use it, how we protect it, and what choices you have.
SaySpoke is currently in beta. Some features, privacy controls, analytics, safety tools, and data practices may change as the product develops. When we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and may provide additional notice inside the app or by email.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies when you use SaySpoke, including:

- Uploading photos or videos
- Backing posts, profiles, Finds, or other content
- Leaving Notes or replies
- Saving content
- Following users or Finds creators
- Sending private messages

- Visiting SaySpoke pages that use cookies or analytics
2. Information you give us
We collect information you choose to provide, including:
- Account information, such as your name, email address, username, handle, password login status, and Google sign-in information if you use Google login
- Profile information, such as your display name, profile picture, bio, location text, privacy settings, message settings, and public profile details
- Finds creator profile information, such as creator handle, display name, creator profile photo, and creator description
- Content you post, such as Moments, Finds, captions, descriptions, media, Backing Tags, Notes, replies, and saved content
- Media you upload, such as photos, videos, thumbnails, profile images, creator avatars, and related file metadata
- Reports, appeals, safety messages, support requests, and other communications you send to us
- Account lifecycle requests, such as account pause, deletion, or support requests
Do not post private, sensitive, confidential, or legally restricted information unless you are comfortable sharing it under the privacy setting you choose.
3. Information created when you use SaySpoke
When you use SaySpoke, we may collect or generate information such as:
- Posts you create, edit, remove, save, or interact with
- Backing Tags you give or receive
- Notes, replies, likes on Notes, and other engagement activity
- Follows, profile visits, Find views, watch activity, saves, share counts, and other product signals
- Discovery and recommendation signals, such as what content is viewed, watched, saved, backed, followed, or reported
- Device, browser, IP address, approximate location, log, diagnostic, and security information
- Preferences, such as message sound settings, feed video settings, desktop layout settings, and other interface preferences
- Invite-code usage, beta access status, login status, email verification status, and account status
- Moderation, trust, safety, admin, and abuse-prevention records
We use these signals to operate the service, personalize feeds, improve recommendations, protect users, debug issues, and understand whether SaySpoke is working.
4. Public and private content
SaySpoke has different surfaces and visibility settings.
Moments are personal posts. If a Moment is public, people may be able to view it from your profile or other allowed surfaces. Moments are not intended to work the same way as Finds discovery.
Finds are creator, recommendation, video, place, resource, or discovery-oriented posts. Public Finds may be shown in discovery, feeds, creator profiles, search-like surfaces, recommendations, or other product areas.
Because SaySpoke is currently new and has a small user base, early users may see each other’s posts more often, especially on the Finds side. Review your privacy settings before posting, backing, commenting, saving, or interacting with someone else’s content.
Your public actions may be visible to others depending on the feature, including:
- Public profile details
- Public Moments
- Public Finds
- Backing Tags
- Notes and replies
- Follows
- Creator profile activity
- Public engagement or recommendation signals
Some activity may remain visible or stored even after you change a setting, especially if it was already viewed, copied, reported, indexed internally, included in backups, or required for safety, security, legal, or operational reasons.
5. Private messages
SaySpoke private messages are designed to use client-side encryption for message text. We store encrypted message content, message metadata, participant records, read and delivery status, typing or presence signals, and key information needed to make the feature work across devices.
Private message metadata may include information such as:
- Who is in a conversation
- When messages were sent
- Whether messages were delivered or read
- Conversation state
- Message key records
- Presence or typing state
- Block and message-privacy settings
During beta, do not use SaySpoke private messages for highly sensitive information. Encryption and key-management systems may continue to change as the product develops.
6. Location and place information
SaySpoke may let you add, search, display, or infer location-related information for profiles, Moments, Finds, or local discovery.
This may include:
- Location text you enter
- Place names
- City, region, or country
- Map or place search results
- Approximate location signals
- Location metadata connected to content you post
We may use location-related information to support local discovery, map features, content context, search, safety review, and recommendation quality.
Do not add a precise location to a post unless you are comfortable with others seeing it under that post’s visibility setting.
7. Video, media, and content processing
SaySpoke may process uploaded media to make the service work. This may include:
- Uploading and storing media files
- Creating thumbnails, previews, or processed video versions
- Reading file metadata
- Measuring upload size, format, duration, and processing status
- Running video-processing jobs
- Diagnosing failed uploads or playback issues
- Reviewing media connected to reports, safety issues, or abuse prevention
SaySpoke may also use automated or model-assisted tools to help categorize content, suggest or evaluate Backing Tags, identify content type, improve recommendations, support safety review, or improve product quality. These tools are not meant to replace human review where human judgment is needed.
8. Google Analytics
SaySpoke uses Google Analytics to understand how people use the site and where the product needs improvement.
Google Analytics may collect information such as:
- Pages viewed
- Time on page
- Referring pages
- Browser and device information
- Approximate location based on IP address
- Interaction and usage events
- Cookies or similar identifiers
We use this information to measure traffic, understand feature usage, diagnose product issues, improve onboarding, and make SaySpoke easier to use.

At this stage, SaySpoke does not intend to use third-party ad networks for behavioral advertising unless this policy is updated to explain that practice. Google Analytics is used for product analytics and site measurement.
